Welcome to Rumson

Private and affluent, this estate-heavy community is filled with tons of architectural beauty
Regarded as one of the wealthiest places in Monmouth County, Rumson, which has been home to many country estates and gentlemen farms for more than a century, is now dotted with lush parks and multi-million dollar homes.
Most of this suburb’s sprawling 19th-century estates are located along the shores of the Navesink and Shrewsbury rivers or along historic Rumson Road, which serves as one of Rumson's main thoroughfares. Once a summer colony for wealthy New York bankers and industrialists, this area is now a haven for soccer moms and Wall Street executives.
Occupying only 5.2 square miles, Rumson is home to less than 10,000 residents and is just a mile west of the Jersey Shore coastline. Popular outdoor pursuits in this town include golf, tennis, swimming, sailing, and fishing. Country Club membership is encouraged and an excellent school system attracts families to this area.
